Cops: Weed Odor Wafting From Stopped Car Leads To Arrest
Cops pulled over a car on Lantern Hill Road for allegedly speeding. What they say was a "strong odor" of marijuana led to a search & arrest

LEDYARD, CT — Police charged a passenger in a car they'd stopped for speeding with having marijuana they say he intended to sell, according to a press release. Ledyard officers pulled over the vehicle on Lantern Hill Road Saturday and from it, a "strong odor" of weed was wafting.
Police said passenger Skylar C. Davis, is "known to possess and sell marijuana." Cops say theyy told him to get out of the car. They said he refused. And, then police say, he "briefly fought" officers before being handcuffed and taken into custody.
Police say a search of the car found "several ounces of marijuana, and a scale under" the 19-year-old's "passenger seat."

Davis of 37 Long Pond Road was charged with interfering with an officer and possession of marijuana with intent to sell. He posted $5,000 cash bail and was released. Davis has a Nov. 12 court date.
