Gales Ferry Family Wishes Mom 'Happy Mother's Day In Heaven'
Help us celebrate Mother's Day 2018 by sending in your mother-daughter lookalike photo.

LEDYARD, CT — Whether it's through their personality, looks, hobbies or a combination of everything, daughters become a reflection of the woman who raised them. With Mother's Day 2018 right around the corner, we are celebrating that special bond by inviting Patch readers across Connecticut to share their "mother-daughter lookalike" photos.
It doesn't matter how old the kids are (they'll always be your babies) and part of the fun of motherhood is watching your children grow up and enjoy the same things that you love.
In Gales Ferry, father Paul McHale has submitted a photo of his daughter, Jennifer, and his wife, Jacqueline, which was taken on Nov. 23, 2015 at Ledyard High School following an awards ceremony.

McHale said his wife was battling cancer at the time and undergoing experimental immunotherapy treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
"Unfortunately cancer took her from us on May 22, 2017," McHale said in an email to Patch. "This will be our first Mother's Day without her."

Be sure to include a nice message for your loved one, as well as the city/location of the photo and the date it was taken.
