John Legend To Bring Christmas Tour To Foxwoods

MASHANTUCKET, CT – Foxwoods Resort Casino announced Tuesday that newly anointed EGOT winner John Legend will take the stage in Mashantucket this fall. One of the most successful recording artists in history, Legend will bring his unrivaled vocals and soulful roots to Foxwoods’ Grand Theater on Saturday, Nov. 24 at 8 p.m., offering the perfect way to get in the holiday spirit.

According to a news release, the concert will feature songs from Legend’s first Christmas album, "A Legendary Christmas," an 18-track record set to be released on Friday, Oct. 26. The album will highlight his unique renditions of Christmas classics such as “Merry Christmas Baby,” “Silver Bells” and “Please Come Home for Christmas.”

Those that purchase two or more tickets to his show at Foxwoods will receive a copy of the album.

"A Legendary Christmas" follows Legend’s starring role in NBC’s TV musical production of "Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert," for which he earned an Emmy for Outstanding Variety Special (Live). This win helped Legend clinch the title of first male African-American EGOT winner, making him one of 15 people who have joined the prestigious EGOT club.
