Kids Week Returns To Foxwoods

MASHANTUCKET, CT – One of Foxwoods Resort Casino’s most popular kid-friendly events, Kids Week, is back with many of the fun activities families have come to enjoy during the spring school break. Kids Week will take place April 16 through April 19 and will once again include free movies, face-painting, air brush tattoos, a kiddie game lounge and more.

Plus, kids will have the opportunity to participate in “Discovery with Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center” to learn about wildlife through hands-on Discovery, according to a release. Kids will be given the chance to visit with a bird of prey up close, touch turtles and snakes, meet frogs and see and touch feathers, furs, skulls and many other natural items.

Movies

Enjoy free movie screenings of recent blockbusters, including "The Lego Ninjago Movie," "Captain Underpants" and "Jumanji," Monday through Thursday in the Grand Theater. The first movie will start at 12:30 p.m. each day. To enjoy the complete movie experience, the Grand Theater concession stand will be open to purchase favorites such as popcorn, candy and beverages.

Face Painting, Airbrush Tattoos & Balloon Characters

Visit the Premier pre-function area from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. every day for one of these imaginative and fun photo opportunities, and be on the lookout for special appearances by the New England Football team’s mascot and favorite superheroes.

Kiddie Game Lounge

The Kiddie Game Lounge will be located in the Premier pre-function, in The Fox Tower. The lounge will be open from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and will feature game consoles such as Playstation 4, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. Kids are invited to test their skills at classic board games like Checkers, Connect 4, Chutes & Ladders and many more. This year, Foxwoods adds Giant Connect 4, Giant Checkers and a Gladiator Joust. The Premier Ballroom pre-function area will cater to a young palette with milkshakes, root beer floats and Shirley Temples.

Discovery with Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center

On Thursday, April 19 kids can learn about wildlife through hands-on Discovery and will even have the chance to visit with a bird of prey up close, touch turtles and snakes, meet frogs and see and touch feathers, furs, skulls and many other natural items.

Tanger Outlets at Foxwoods Scavenger Hunt

On Tuesday and Thursday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., kids 12-and-under can participate in Tanger's Scavenger Hunt. Passports will be available at each mall entrance. Simply locate the participating stores and receive a stamp in their passport to win a free t-shirt and gift.
