Man Charged In Ledyard For Reckless Driving, Drug Possession
An Enfield man is facing charges following a Wednesday arrest.
LEDYARD, CT — An Enfield was arrested Wednesday on reckless driving and other charges, according to police. John Moran, 32, was charged with reckless driving, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police said the patrol division was conducting motor vehicle enforcement on Route 2 in Ledyard when they saw an 2012 Audi SW Q7 traveling westbound at 90 mph in a 50 mph zone. Moran's vehicle's registration was expired and he was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Moran also had an active arrest warrant for violation of a court order out of the Hartford Police Department.

Moran was arrested without incident and transported to the Ledyard Police Department where he was processed and released on a $1500 non-surety bond to appear New London Superior Court May 19.
Moran was held and transferred to the Hartford Police Department for the arrest affidavit.
