Obituary: Patricia A. Bussolotti, 73, Of Ledyard

Her vibrant, determined, and loving spirit was felt by all who knew her.

Patricia A. "Pat" (Lough) Bussolotti, 73, of Ledyard, wife of Donald L. Bussolotti died Wednesday, June 14, 2017 surrounded by her family. Born in McKeesport, PA she was the daughter of the late Ewell and Dorothy (Walter) Lough. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Jefferson Hills, PA in 1962 and remained close with her class. Her vibrant, determined, and loving spirit was felt by all who knew her. Patti loved gardening, genealogy, taking walks and most of all spending time with her family.

Pat moved to Connecticut in 1965 and met her future husband Don while working for Perkin-Elmer Corporation in Norwalk. They married in 1967. Pat went on to work as an Executive Secretary for the Lacey Manufacturing Co. in Bridgeport before moving to Ledyard in 1975.

Pat completed her nursing degree at Three Rivers Community College in Norwich in 1979 while raising her family. Known as Patsy at work, she was a labor delivery Nurse for many years at Backus Hospital in Norwich. She was also the Case Manager of their Breast and Cervical Center before retiring in 2006.

In addition to her husband, she leaves her four children, Mark Bussolotti and his wife, Michelle, of Old Lyme, Michael Bussolotti of Ledyard, Michelle Bussolotti and her husband, Keir Hagerty, of Ledyard and Jennifer Cody Epstein and her husband, Michael, of Brooklyn, NY; a brother, Thomas Lough of Groton; and her grandchildren, Dustin, Shelby, and Mackenzie Bussolotti, Evelyn Hagerty, and Katie and Hannah Epstein. She was predeceased by a sister, Janice Lough and a brother, Edward Lough.

A service will be held at 10AM Saturday, June 24th at the Ledyard Congregational Church 722 Col. Ledyard Highway in Ledyard. Her burial will follow at the Avery-Stoddard Cemetery in Gales Ferry. There are no calling hours.
