Traffic Advisory: Color Me Fall Fest 5K Run

Road closures announced ahead of Saturday's Color Me Fall Fest 5K Run in Ledyard Center.

LEDYARD, CT — Police have announced road closures ahead of the Saturday, Oct. 19 Color Me Fall Fest 5K Run set to kick off at 11 a.m. in Ledyard Center.

Ledyard Police say the event will cause a temporary closure of Route 117 between Ledyard Center School and Bill Library at the start of the run for 5-10 minutes.

Also, there will be a closure of Colonel Ledyard Highway between Ledyard Center and Lambtown Road for approximately one hour.

Motorists should expect minor delays in the area and are encouraged to plan accordingly.

And motorists and residents on Colonel Ledyard Highway, Wolf Ridge Gap, Fairway Drive, Colby Drive, Center Drive, Blonder Boulevard, Gallup Hill Road, Lucienne Way and Applewood Drive should expect minor delays in the area.

Drivers are asked to use caution for the safety of participants in the event, police said, adding officers will be on scene conducting traffic management activities for the safety of all.

of the Ledyard Police Department.
