Madison Woman Killed, 2 Injured In Durham Road Crash

Tracy Decosta, 56, of Madison, was killed in a head-on crash on Route 79, police said.

MADISON, CT — A woman was killed in a head-on collision on Route 79 Wednesday night, according to Madison police Capt. Joseph Race.

Tracy Decosta, 56, of Madison, died and two others were taken to Yale New Haven Hospital with various injuries described as severe and life-threatening, Race said.

The crash involved two vehicles on Durham Road in the area of Goat Lot Road at around 6:45 p.m., Race said.

Members of the Madison Police Department and North Madison Volunteer Fire Company responded to the accident site.

Members of the Madison Police Department and the South Central Connecticut Traffic Unit are investigating the crash. Anyone who witnessed crash or has information on it is asked to contact Madison police Sgt. Jeremey Yorke at 203-245-6500.
