2 Men Charged With Manslaughter In Fatal 2020 Car Crash: Police
Nicholas Catrini, 19, and Jacob Latronica, 20, both of Middletown, are charged in the death of Tracy DeCosta, 56, of Madison.

MADISON, CT —Two Middletown men have been charged with manslaughter in a fatal June 2020 car crash that claimed the life of Madison resident Tracy Decosta, police said.
Decosta, 56, was killed in a head-on collision on Durham Road in the area of Goat Lot Road on June 17, 2020, Madison police Capt. Joseph Race said at the time.
Monday, Race said the arrests were the "culmination of a months-long investigation" by Madison police and the South Central Connecticut Traffic Unit.

Charged are Nicholas Catrini, 19, and Jacob Latronica, 20, both of Middletown. Each faces charges of first-degree manslaughter, second-degree assault, first degree reckless endangerment, misconduct with a motor vehicle and motor vehicle racing. Latronica was also charged with reckless driving and passing in a no passing zone.
According to online judicial records, Latronica was released on a $5,000 bond. and is due back in court April 5. Catrini was also released on a $5,000 bond, judicial records show, and is due in court April 8.
