Acting for the Camera with Producer/Director Katherine Dickson of Guapa Films. Would you like to learn how to deliver honest, consistent performances on screen? What about how to find those perfect moments each and every take? You can learn how by utilizing techniques that help you stay truly present and in the moment. In the first class you will be paired with a partner and assigned a scene or given a monologue to develop. Then the work begins. This course is for all level of actors. All classes will be filmed. *Must be willing to sign release form. About Katherine Dickson: Katherine Dickson owns Guapa Films. Her current production, Alma and Alex, which she co-wrote and produced, premiered at the Festival de Cannes, Festival de las Americas and NY New Filmmakers. She has collaborated as producer and casting director on award winning films La Toma and Brilliant Mistakes. She has worked as assistant director to renowned award winning director Austin Pendleton on Off Broadway as well as played many leading rolls on stage. She is a classically trained singer, song-writer and actor. She has appeared in major blockbuster films such as Salt, It's Complicated and Split End just to name a few. Her latest endeavors are starring in the feature films The Last Intervention and Lost Boys currently on US and International Festival tour. In March 2019, Katherine debut her first album EQUILIBRIUM. All classes held at Guapa Film Studios in Madison. Classes begin in December for adults and a class for teens ages 15 to 18.
