After COVID Scuttled It In 2020, The 4th Of July Parade Is A Go

The Sunday July 4 parade will salute the community's "Covid Heroes" as they will, en masse, serve as the parade's grand marshal.

MADISON, CT —Grab the kids and the lawn chairs. Madison's Fourth of July Parade is back.

The Exchange Club of Madison announced Monday that its "time-honored" July 4th parade celebration will resume after last year's hiatus due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The parade will salute the community's "Covid Heroes" as they will serve as the parade's Grand Marshal.

"From healthcare providers to grocery store workers, Madison residents will have the opportunity to thank those who helped them through a year like no other," the Exchange Club noted on Facebook.

"This Independence Day Parade will also be a parade like no other. While celebrating the courage of Madison's community heroes, it will also signify the town's determination to get to the other side of this terrible disease," the post reads.

The parade kicks off at Sunday, July 4 at 10 a.m., beginning in the Super Stop and Shop parking lot and winding through the center of Madison concluding at the Surf Club.
