The Artistry of Jacques Pépin Comes to Alforno Trattoria

Jacques Pepin introduces his newest line of culinary-inspired artwork.

Jacques Pépin, the celebrated chef known for turning food into an art form, will be the special guest and speaker at Alforno’s Piedmontese Wine Dinner in Old Saybrook on November 27, 2018.

In connection with a masterful career as a chef, television host, author and educator, Jacques Pepin in recent years has turned to art with a culinary-inspired, country-living style that is colorful, comforting and joyful.

Jacques Pépin will share the stories behind his new book, Menus: A Book for Your Meals and Memories, and all dinner guests will receive a signed copy. During his 50-year career, Jacques Pepin has designed numerous hand-illustrated dinner menus as a way of keeping a journal of special meals prepared for friends, birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, and holidays. Pépin’s “Menus” book is filled with more than 75 charmingly designed borders, allowing home cooks and culinary enthusiasts to capture their own creations and memories. The back of each page provides space for each guest to sign and add comments.
