Coronavirus Case At High School Puts Sports Team Into Quarantine
Schools superintendent Dr. Craig Cooke said that one positive case at Daniel Hand High School forced the quarantine of a sports team.
MADISON, CT — Monday the Madison school district was notified that a Daniel Hand High Schoolstudent tested positive for COVID-19.
And while the person was told to stay home in isolation, as a result of contact tracing, an athletic team has been identified as close contacts and was ordered to quarantine, according to schools Superintendent Dr. Craig Cooke.
It was also noted that students directly impacted by this temporary shift to remote learning have already been contacted by a school administrator.

The district COVID-19 case tracker shows two active cases at the high school and two active cases at Polson Middle School.
The district and health department says the high school can remain open.
