DHHS Boys Golf Wins First SCC Title in 10 Years

Brian Carlson shot 71 for Hand and was individual medalist for the tournament.

The Daniel Hand High School boys golf team won the Southern Connecticut Conference championship this week, its first title win since 2003.

Congrats!

Coach Jim Halloran reports that the team total score was 311. Cheshire was second with a total of 318.

Brian Carlson shot 71 for Hand and was individual medalist for the tournament. He chipped in on his final hole to win medalist honors by one shot.

Here are the other scores:

  • Chris Bennett - 78
  • Tommy Pellatt - 80
  • Tyler McAndrews - 82
  • John Collins - 84

"We (took) the top 4 scores so John’s score did not count in the total," Halloran said in an email. "It was interesting that ALL FIVE of our players had scores in the top twenty of the tournament. It showed the great depth our team has."

Great work!
