First Niagara Family Classic Finalists Set To Play At 2013 New Haven Open

Madison father-and-son team win; they are among more than 150 teams that competed in the Regional Finals

Eighteen teams comprised of family members have advanced to the finals of the First Niagara Family Classic and will play alongside five of the world’s top 10 players at the New Haven Open at Yale presented by First Niagara, aWTA event that is part of the Emirates Airline US Open Series to be held August 16-24, 2013 at the Connecticut Tennis Center.

Teams across nine divisions (Father/Child and Mother/Child 12 & Under, 14 & Under and 18 & Under age divisions; Parent/Child Open divisions for parents with children over the age of 19 or under the age of 10; and a Husband/Wife division) and representing Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York advanced following the regional finals this past weekend at the Connecticut Tennis Center at Yale. The regional finals were comprised of more than 150 teams who won their local events in seven different states.

Madison's own Steve & Noah Gulla, representing Old Saybrook Racquet Club, will face off in the Parent/Child under 12 division against Guilford's Rich Zajkowski & Maddie Constantino representing the Guilford Racquet Club.
