Hand Club Students Hold Virtual Walk-A-Thon For Meals-On-Wheels

Daniel Hand High School Excel Club students are holding the virtual fundraiser to help support the program that provides meals to seniors.

MADISON, CT —The Daniel Hand High School Excel Club presents a virtual walk-a-thon on May 23 to benefit Meals on Wheels, which provides food to seniors in need.

"Kick off your summer by enjoying the beautiful weather, getting active with your family, and raising money for Meals on Wheels, an initiative that provides much-needed food for senior citizens," the club says.

It's $10 to register and $2 per mile. Folks who are interested in helping the club help others should sign up here on Eventbrite.com Or, folks may pay by check made out to the Madison Exchange Club. Checks may be dropped off Monday May 22, at the same time that event T-shirts will be handed out, from 12 to 4 p.m. in the Daniel Hand High School bus circle.

Those that pledge to walk the most miles will receive a gift card from a local business.
