Hand's Scott Testori Named National Soccer Player Of The Year

Daniel Hand High School senior forward Scott Testori ended his high school career with a program-best 86 goals and 32 assists.

MADISON, CT — When United Soccer Coaches announcedthe association’s High School Boys and Girls All-America Teams for the 2020 fall season, it also named its Boys and Girls National Players of the Year.

Among the 117 High School All-Americans recognized, three were honored as the Players of the Year and at the top of that list is Scott Testori, a senior forward from Daniel Hand High School.

Testori earned the second All-America honor of his career after scoring 28 goals and adding eight assists in 11 games. He helped lead Hand HS to an undefeated season and an SCC B Division championship. He ended his high school career with a program-best 86 goals and 32 assists.

The award began was established in 1994. Players are nominated by state-wide coaches’ associations for consideration among other exceptional athletes from across the country. The United Soccer Coaches Association is a national association that bestows honors such as National Player of the Year, All-New England, All American and CT Player of the Year awards.
