Vista's A Shared Stage Productions to present "Sister Act"
Showtimes are May 17 at 7pm; May 18 at 2pm and 7pm; and May 19 at 2pm

An uplifting performance of Sister Act is coming to Old Saybrook! A Shared Stage Productions, a program of Vista Life Innovations, is bringing Sister Act to The Kate May 17-19.
Under the direction of professional theater director, designer and educator Martin Marchitto, this production connects a cast of performers from the greater shoreline theater community alongside students and members of Vista Life Innovations, a community-based program supporting the personal success of individuals with disabilities.
"It is so wonderful to see the relationships that are formed amongst community members and Vista members during this journey," said Marchitto. “The theme of Sister Act mirrors perfectly with the goal of A Shared Stage Productions - connecting people of all abilities.”

A joyous musical comedy written by Cheri and Bill Steinkellner with lyrics by Glenn Slater, Sister Act is centered around bringing different communities and lifestyles together.
The story features disco diva Deloris Van Cartier, a worldly singer, who witnesses a mob crime and is placed in a convent by the police. Ultimately, Deloris finds that many of the nuns at the convent are not that different from her and that they are quite enjoyable to be around, giving her a bigger purpose in life that was missing prior to her arrival at the convent.
