A Little Rain Won't Put A Damper On Touch-A-Truck Event Sunday

Construction equipment, ambulances, fire trucks, tree trucks, race cars, and even garbage-crushing demos, plus food trucks (and princesses!)

MADISON, CT —The kids won't care if it's raining.

Touch A Truck, hosted by the Madison Newcomers Club, is a family event that gives kids (and grown-ups, too) the opportunity to see and learn about larger-than-life vehicles. Set for Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Madison Surf Club, all proceeds raised support the club's scholarship program.

After having worked with local officials to be sure that the event is in compliance with all COVID-19 guidelines, the club says it's providing a fun, outdoor event while minimizing risk. Admission is on a first come, first serve basis and will admits folks as space allows under current restrictions, it noted. Donations accepted at the door, but not required.

The event is rain or shine and while the forecast calls for some rain, the Club hopes "everyone still plans on coming on out for the swag bags our business sponsors have put together, delicious food, entertainment by local acts, craft projects that local preschools are providing and of course, the trucks."

The event is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Madison, Madison Veterinary Hospital, Trinity Solar, KBE Building Co., The Tree Company, Madison Earth Care Landscaping, Sandy Paws, Colliers, Major Care, Clarity, Dance Corner, RM Consulting, The Bank of England mortgage company, Hammonasset Dental Care and many others.
