Lyons: Batten Down The Hatches As Tropical Storm Fay Approaches
Secure items in yards that could be thrown by wind or rising water and prepare for isolated power outages, the First Selectwoman said.
MADISON, CT — First Selectwoman Peggy Lyons is encouraging Madison folks to batten down the hatches, and also be prepared for likely flooding and power outages, as Tropical Storm Fay looms.
Lyons said tropical storm conditions are excepted along the shoreline Friday and Saturday as the National Weather Service has issued a Tropical Storm Warning for the area.
Spelling out the forecast, she said wind gusts up to 60 MPH along with some coastal flooding is possible, and the possibility of isolated tornadoes.

"Please take time to secure loose items in your yard that have potential to be thrown around by wind or rising water, and also prepare for isolated power outages and tree damage," she said.
"Stay safe and healthy Madison," Lyons wrote.
