Madison Beach Hotel Unveils Summer Music Concert Series Lineup

MADISON, CT - Madison Beach Hotel - Curio Collection by Hilton, announced its summer line-up for the 2017 Grassy Strip Music & Art Series. Hosted each Wednesday evening June 28th until August 30th from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., the 2017 free concerts will showcase an array of musical artists, including John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band, Adam Ezra Group, Peter Mayer and Scott Kirby, among other artists.

With her trademark mile-high platinum beehive hairdo and enviable collection of sequins and rhinestones, Christine Ohlman will return again this year on August 30 for another unforgettable performance.

“Our hotel is honored and excited to have such a wonderful music line-up for our 2017 Grassy Strip Music & Art Series,” said Madison Beach Hotel General Manager, John Mathers in a prepared statement. “The 2017 schedule of events promises to put the public in a celebratory mood all summer. We are putting all the elements in place to deliver one of the most exciting and enjoyable summer experiences yet and we are looking forward to celebrating the summer with our neighbors and friends,” added Mathers.

Initiated in the summer of 2012, the Grassy Strip Music & Art Series allows families and friends of Connecticut and shoreline neighbors to gather at the beachfront of West Wharf in Madison, CT for an evening of summer memories. The events celebrate the spirit of community and the splendor of Madison and the Connecticut coast.

“Last year, the property launched the Wharf Preservation Alliance which mission is to preserve the historicity of The Wharf and to celebrate its future,” said Mathers in a statement. “Every week, we will ask our patrons to make a donation to the “West Wharf Sand Pail”, which will be passed out at every concert. Monies collected during the concerts will be matched dollar for dollar and all contributions made to the West Wharf Sand Pail will be donated to the Madison Ambulance Association,” said Mathers.

The Grassy Strip Music & Art Series starts on June 28th and will take place from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. every Wednesday until August 30th . All concerts will take place on the front lawn of the Madison Beach Hotel located at 94 West Wharf Rd., Madison, CT. The rain location for this event is in the ballroom at the Madison Beach Hotel
