Madison Little League's Dream Season Comes To An End
A great season for Madison Little League team came to an end as the team fell just short of making the Little League World Series.

MADISON, CT — The Madison Little League team, Connecticut’s state champion, fought courageously but their quest to be the best Little League team in the nation came to an end Friday afternoon in Bristol.
Madison lost to Rhode Island by 4-0 score. Rhode Island scored all their runs in the next-to-last, or 5th, inning. The game was broadcast on ESPN.
Rhode Island will now play New Hampshire on Saturday for a spot at the Little League World Series in Williamsport.

Madison had its chances in Friday’s game, but Rhode Island worked its way out of several jams, including when Madison had the bases loaded in a few innings.
The team fought to the last at bat - the last out was made with two runners on base.

Despite the loss the Madison kids had a great tournament.
Madison lost to Vermont on Sunday evening but won against Massachusetts on Tuesday and on Maine on Wednesday before Friday’s elimination against Rhode Island.
