A Madison Rite Of Spring: The Farmers Market Opens May 7

The market returns to the Town Green just in time for Mother's Day. Find just-laid eggs, just-picked fruit and produce and so much more.

MADISON, CT — A rite of spring, farmers’ markets connect farmers, growers, bakers, and other food artisans and craftspeople with the community, hungry for farm-fresh, locally grown or prepared products.

Honey, baked breads, just-laid eggs, just-picked fruits and harvested greens, cheeses, jams, and pies, oh my.

So, when's the market open?

The Madison Farmers' Market, established in 2017, opens for the season May 7. The every-Friday market —open from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. — on the Town Green remains open until just before Thanksgiving.

A number of farmers' market vendors offer pre-ordering. Visit the website here to learn more. And bonus: the website also features recipes to create chef-worthy dishes from the bounty.
