Obituary: Rose-Marie Savoie Montesi, 81

Rose-Marie Savoie Montesi, 81, of Wallingford, formerly of Hamden passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 26th, 2021 at MidState Medical Center, Meriden. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward G. Montesi, Sr. Rose-Marie was born in Oneco, CT on October 16, 1939 and was the daughter of the late Edmond and Alice Potvin Savoie.

A graduate of the former Grace New Haven School of Nursing, she had worked as a Registered Nurse for St. Raphael's Hospital Pediatric Intensive Care for many years and later Blue Cross/Blue Shield until her retirement.

Rose-Marie loved being a "Social Butterfly", enjoyed meeting and talking to people and also volunteered on numerous committees at the Masonicare Health Center. She was an excellent baker, enjoyed doing oil paintings, ceramics, and coloring.

Mother of Valerie (Tim) O'Connor and Edward G. (Lynda) Montesi, Jr. Grandmother of Matthew and Zachary Duhaime, Audra, Carina and Edward G Montesi III. Step-Grandmother of Stephen (Kari) O'Connor and Robert O'Connor. Step Great-Grandmother of Joseph O'Connor. Sister of Edmond Savoie. Also survived by many loving friends.
