Outdoor Seating Approved for Bradley & Wall Gourmet in Madison
The Planning and Zoning Commission recently approved plans for an outside deck that will seat 24 at the restaurant/shop at Bradley & Wall

MADISON, CT - The construction of an outside deck that will seat 24 at Bradley & Wall Gourmet Foods has been approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission.
Architect John Matthews stated that the existing concrete patio is deteriorating, and the fence across the front is falling apart; plans are to construct a composite wood deck, rotate two air conditioners, make the deck level with the floor, so the deck is ADA accessible, and rather than having a fence, there will be a three-foot evergreen hedge along the edge of the deck.
There will be five bollard lights, a three-foot high lattice to screen the air conditioners, and it will be the same color as the building. There are enough parking spaces suitable for six tables with umbrellas.

Matthews submitted a drawing of the lighting and showed a sample of the decking material. Director of Planning and Economic Development David Anderson stated that the Advisory Committee on Community Appearance (ACCA) approved the plans, after viewing several emails with the plans.
Landscape Architect John Cunningham stated that ACCA will be shown the lights and the umbrella colors.
