Race Hill Road Storm Drainage Construction Begins Sept. 9

Heads-up folks traveling near Race Hill Road and Bradley Corners Road, the 3-week long project will begin next week, so seek out detours.

MADISON, CT — Just in time for back-to-school, a Race Hill Road storm drain project is set to get underway Sept. 9. The $150,000 construction project is expected to take about three weeks to complete, according to town documents.

Construction of a storm drainage system on Race Hill Road between Bradley Corners Road and Hickory Lane was designed to convey water through a pipe network instead of overland flow onto to the roadway. The design will maintain existing drainage patterns, mitigate erosion and sediment usually carried along the road. And the installation is supposed to extend the road's "service life."

Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes during construction.
