Report: Bridgeport Man Attempted to Set Madison Home On Fire

The 28-year-old suspect was arrested by Madison Police and charged with arson after he allegedly attempted to ignite a home on Mungertown Road.

A Bridgeport man was arrested by Madison Police on Thursday for allegedly attempting to set a local home ablaze while it was occupied, according to a Hartford Courant report.

Adil Koummal, 28, was charged April 10 with:

  • first-degree arson
  • criminal mischief
  • operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license
The Courant reports police are investigating to determine what prompted Koummal to seek to set the home — at 97 Mungertown Road — on fire.

He was held on $100,000 bond.
