Route 80 In Madison Closed For Utility Pole Replacement

MADISON, CT —Authorities are reporting that Rt. 80, known as Old Toll Road, is closed and will be for at least the next eight hours as utility crews replace a pole that's in the roadway.

Rt. 80 will be shuttered just east of Race Hill Road while Frontier replaces the pole, Madison dispatchers posted on Facebook. The state Department of Transportation also noted the closure.

Traffic will be detoured eastbound at Race Hill Road and westbound at Squires Road.
