Sharing The Road, Supporting The Community Focus Of Police Bike Safety Ride Saturday

In addition to reinforcing bike safety, the Madison Police Department also asked for monetary donations, non-perishable food items or an unwrapped toys to benefit the Madison Police Department Food & Toy Drive.

The Madison Police Department sponsored another community bike ride Saturday morning to raise community awareness about the need for people in cars to be careful about bike riders, and for people on bikes to follow the rules so that people in cars will know what to expect.

Here are some tips about bike rules of the road from the state of Connecticut.

And here is some information about the importance of everyone sharing the road, and being respectful of everyone on the road.

In addition to reinforcing bike safety, the Madison Police Department also asked for monetary donations, non-perishable food items or an unwrapped toys to benefit the Madison Police Department Food & Toy Drive.

Anyone who is interested in supporting the Food & Toy Drive is welcome to drop off donations at the Madison Police Department at 9 Campus Drive, off of Horse Pond Road. For more information on how to help, call 203.245.2721.
