Still time to enter pumpkins in Pretentious Pumpkins on Parade!
WE WANT YOUR PUMPKINS! We want LOTS of pumpkins!

We are still encouraging families to enter their carved pumpkins in our Pretentious Pumpkins on Parade Contest and Display. Its free, its fun and you are probably carving one anyway for Halloween! AND you can take your pumpkin back after the display is over. This event will be held during Trunk or Treat so you will also be on the green. The only thing you have to do is register your pumpkin in advance so we can make a name tag and make sure we have a spot. Pumpkins must be carved out so we can light them. We provide the tea lights and the lighting of the pumpkins for the safety of all our pumpkins. Pumpkins must be a family friendly design. Pumpkins should be dropped off between 3:00 and 3:30 pm and removed at approximately 7:00 pm. Abandoned pumpkins will be donated to Barberry Hill Farm for their animals to enjoy. Small prizes will be awarded for cutest, best Halloween themed and most creative pumpkin. You do not need to be present to win. Let the carving begin! Our pretentious Pumpkins will be proudly displayed on our parade bleachers. Each family member who wants to participate must register so we get an accurate count of pumpkins. It is easy to register your pumpkin. You can go here and fill out the form (its short) https://www.madisonct.org/165/Beach-Recreation-Department or email Carrie at gazdac@madisonct.org or call Madison Beach and Recreation at 203-245-5623.
