Taco Pacifico Food Cart Going Back To Original Home In Madison

Food cart has been operating in another location in Madison but this summer Taco Pacifico will be returning to where it first started.

MADISON, CT - Taco Pacifico is returning to its roots, as it will be spending the summer months at the MVP Car Wash on the Boston Post Road in Madison.

Greg Sharon stated that Taco Pacifico started 10 years ago, and the decade is being marked by going back to its original location - the food cart first opened at the MVP Car Wash, 10 years ago in Madison.

Plans are to be open for the season, from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.

Taco Pacifico will be open the same hours as the car wash, six days a week; there will be homemade fresh Mexican food.

Sharon stated that it will not be a food truck but a food cart. The food items on the menu will be created at a commissary in Wallingford and transported to the food cart in a refrigerated vehicle; once on site, food will be stored in an indoor refrigerator at the car wash, Sharon stated.

Customers will drive up and park, but there will be no clientele seating or lingering, according to Sharon. A quiet, enclosed Honda generator will be operating at the food cart, and plans are to park the food cart right where the asphalt begins on the site, at the corner of Mungertown Road and Route 1, according Sharon.

Plans for the move have been approved by Madison officials.
