Tree Falls On Popular Madison Restaurant, Forces Closure
A series of strong storms hammered the Shoreline on Monday afternoon.

MADISON, CT — It was a scary scene inside the popular Cristy's Madison Monday afternoon as strong thunderstorms moved through and toppled a cherry tree that fell on the eatery and caused damage, reports Ann Nyberg, of WTNH News 8, on social media.
Nyberg said that the restaurant will be closed for a period of time as renovations will be needed to repair the roof. No one was injured as the tree fell Monday. The eatery is located at 73 W Wharf Road.
Cristy's Madison has dealt with difficult times in the past as a fire caused the restaurant to close for nearly a year in 2017.

Among those sustaining storm damage Monday: Cristy’s Madison Inn, which dodged serious damage, unlike when a fire hit the restaurant in February 2017. @FOX61News pic.twitter.com/hdnFRKKs0u
