What You Need To Know Now About Beach Passes, Madison

Madison residents beach parking stickers are now available by mail but there's no sticker needed until Memorial Day weekend.

MADISON, CT —Though beach parking is free until Memorial Day weekend, the holiday that kicks off the summer season, First Selectwoman Peggy Lyons announced that starting this week, resident beach parking stickers will be available for purchase.

"I’m happy to announce that the Town is gearing up for the 2021 summer beach season," she said in a message to the community Friday.

The beach stickers are available for purchase through the mail and starting April 12, beach pass renewals can be made through the town's website.

What you need to know about beach passes and beach operations this summer

  • The Surf Club office will open to the public starting May 3 for in-person sales.
  • First time pass holders, including new residents, must purchase beach stickers through the mail or in-person at the Surf Club office.
  • Stickers will not be required to park at Town beaches until Memorial Day weekend.
  • Registration for various summer programs will also be available during the month of April, so please check the website for the most up-to-date information.
  • The Town will be holding a public hearing in late April to provide an overview of this year’s beach operations plan for the summer season. More details on this hearing will be forthcoming.
