Area Home Sales Increase Slightly for June

Real Estate sales throughout the greater Hartford area jumped went up about 5 percent in June compared to June of 2016, according to a new report shared on Friday by the Greater Hartford Association of Realtors.

Prices were relatively flat, the report indicates.

The median sale price of a single-family house was $240,000 in June, compared to $239,250 for the same month a year ago, according to the report.

The report is based on data from 57 towns from Enfield south to Middletown using the Multiple Listing Service.

For the first six months of 2017, sales of single family houses jumped about 3 percent, according to the report.

The median sale price increased just more than 1 percent over the same period and was up by $2,000 at $219,000, according to the report.
