1 Killed In Shooting In Middletown: Police
A 17-year-old was also injured and rushed to the hospital after the incident, according to police.
MIDDLETOWN, CT — One person was killed in a shooting Sunday morning in Middletown, according to police.
Police responded to a report of a fight in the area of Highlands Crescent and Stirling Court around 11 a.m. The incident escalated to a "shots fired" call before police arrived at the scene, according to Lt. Brian Hubbs.

Arriving officers found that a man was killed in the shooting, Hubbs said. A 17-year-old boy was also injured and rushed to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition, according to Hubbs.
Police aren’t releasing the names of the man or teenager as detectives work to notify the families, Hobbs said.

“The parties in this case appear to know one another,” Hubbs wrote in a news release. “This appears to be an isolated incident with no known threats to the public or residents in the area.”
A white Acura was seen leaving the area but is no longer a "vehicle of interest," according to Hubbs.
Police are continuing to investigate the shooting and anyone with information is asked to call the Middletown Police Department Detective Bureau-- Det. Stroud at 860-638-4147.
