Keigwin Middle School’s 21st Century Community Learning Center (21stCCLC) program is well underway this year, with dancing feet, cruising drones, Minecraft, Kross Fit training, cooking and Lego building, just to name a few of the many activities.
The five- year-old afterschool program once again is filled to capacity with 58 students, due to its positive reputation and popularity with youngsters. “My brother did it and it seemed like fun,” said one student, Anthony, who said he was enjoying Kross Fit.

Another student, Olivia, was excited to be able to pursue her passion for dance in the hip-hop dance group and also get her homework done. “I heard this was a good program and I love dance.”
Families of 21st CCLC students also participated in an outing at Lyman Orchards on Oct. 20, picking apples and navigating through a cornfield maze. About 70 people attended.
“I wanted to thank 21st-century program for offering such a nice event to enjoy a wonderful afternoon with my son,” wrote one parent after the program.
