Black Period / OPENwALL SERIES . ed 03
Saturday, July 3rd 6:30pm At The Free Center, 52 North Main St.

BLACK PERIOD / OPENwALL SERIES . ed 03 Black Period is a declaration of the Age of Soul and a new Era of Blackness. We will feature Black portraits (including the elusive self-portrait) by and of Black People. It’s as an introspective into our Black identity and a reflection on the path to liberation.
This exhibition will explore our history, present, and collective futures. We are seeking all artistic mediums – from photography and paintings, to videos and poetry. Select works will be exhibited at a large scale event at the Hill-Stead Museum on June 5th. The full show will then be mounted simultaneously at Free Centers in Hartford and Middletown on Juneteenth. Then, if the space is ready, the exhibition will move to our new Free Center in Baltimore at the end of July.
Date: July 3rd Time: 6:30 PM, Time Details: 7/3/2021-7/24/2021
