On Appropriations Committee's Hyde Amendment Appeal

Rosa DeLauro, a Connecticut Congresswoman, has been elected chairperson of the Appropriations Committee. It is a very influential position. Our local press is understandably enamored with how Rep. DeLauro's new role could benefit Connecticut. But one of DeLauro's first acts as chairwoman-elect was to hold a hearing on repealing the Hyde Amendment. That is the law forbidding the federal government from funding elective abortions with your tax dollars via Medicaid. It is estimated to have saved over 2 million lives since 1976.
The one pro-lifer in all of America who was been chosen as a witness to speak in defense of the Hyde Amendment was Middletown's Christina Bennett.
Christina is the communications director of the Family Institute of Connecticut. You can watch the whole presentation here: https://youtu.be/R5BepZq685E?t=1008
