Company Buys $22K In Gift Cards For Middletown Workers: Report

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Downtown businesses received a boost when Pratt and Whitney purchased $22,000 in gift cards for its Middletown employees working from home during the coronavirus pandemic, according to the Middletown Press.

The Press reports Pratt and Whitney bought 1,500 Downtown Business District Gift Cards, at $15 each, for employees working at its facility on Aircraft Road in Middletown. The gesture not only benefits local workers but the downtown businesses that could be struggling during the pandemic.

The Downtown Business District gift card is accepted at more than 90 locations in Middletown’s Main Street area.
