Cromwell Resident Graduates from Guiding Eyes for the Blind

The New Guide Dog Is

A local Cromwell resident, Brooklynn, a high school senior who recently graduated from the nation's leading guide dog school, Guiding Eyes for the Blind, with her new guide dog, Sadie.

Brooklynn is excited to be matched with her first guide dog, Sadie. As she enters her senior year of high school, she is considering the possibility of pursuing a degree in Marine Biology or Criminal Justice when she heads off to college. She is also a chapter officer in her school’s FFA, a student organization preparing members for leadership and career success.

Since June, Guiding Eyes has been conducting Home Trainings with graduates in accessible areas determined safe for the students and staff involved. These trainings are conducted using protocols that center on COVID social distancing practices and utilizing the appropriate PPE.
