Domestic Ducks Abandoned At Park In Middletown
Three domestic ducks were left at a city park, according to the Middletown Animal Control.
MIDDLETOWN, CT — Three domestic ducks were abandoned at a city park in Middletown, according to officials.
The Parks Department notified the Middletown Animal Control about the abandoned ducks and officials said they are now in a safe place.
“Thanks to our Parks Department for calling about these 3 little ones,” the animal control wrote in a post on Facebook. “They are domestic ducks that someone left at a city park. Possibly purchased for Easter or just because they were cute. Unfortunately, they grow fast and can be very messy and more than you bargained for. If you can’t keep domestic animals, please look for a responsible home for them. These little ones still need help and would not have been ok on their own. They are now in a safe place!”
