Dominion Energy Supports Arts Education at The Kate
Children and teens can audition at the Kate on June 28 for the next MCT residency production of "The Emperor's New Clothes."
OLD SAYBROOK, CT - The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, Inc. (the Kate) is proud to announce the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation has awarded a grant in support of the Missoula’s Children’s Theatre (MCT) residency and the Kate’s summer gala. This generous grant enables the Kate to continue to host two week-long musical theater programs per year with professional teaching artists. Local children audition for and are cast in productions without a fee for participation. The residencies teach key life skills and emphasize building confidence.
“We appreciate the ability to partner with Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation in this fun and important work, bringing accessible and affordable children’s programs to our area,” said Brett Elliott, executive director of the Kate. “Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation has been a vital supporter of the Kate since our opening and we couldn’t do it without them and organizations like them that invest generously in the arts in our region.”
