Sanditz Travel is a full-service travel management company that provides corporate, vacation, group and meeting-planning services for an endless amount of destinations. Patch sat down with Henry Wrotniak, owner of Sanditz, to learn more about the company's nearly 60 years of success in the travel industry.


Patch: How long have you been doing business in town?


Wrotniak: Sanditz Travel has been in business for 57 years, with six locations in Connecticut and one in Rhode Island.

Patch: What attracted you to the business you’re in, and how did you get started?


Wrotniak: I worked in the airline industry; this was a perfect fit to go to the next step and own my own business.

Patch: If you had to sum up your business mission to a stranger in five words, what would those words be?


Wrotniak: Trust, Value, Integrity, Relationships and Amazing.


Patch: What’s the biggest challenge or most difficult moment you’ve faced in your job?


Wrotniak: Employee situations are always the most challenging for me.


Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?


Wrotniak: A happy customer and the perfect trip!


Patch: You’re not the only person in this business. How do you distinguish yourself from the others?


Wrotniak: Being the leader of the business, my role is more providing direction and teaching.


Patch: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given when it comes to success?


Wrotniak: Lock in your best customers, and lock out your competitors.


Patch: What would you say are a few secrets to your success?


Wrotniak: To make kindness and helpfulness everyday behaviors.
