Jersey Mike’s Subs Opening In Middletown
The popular sub shop is celebrating its grand opening in Middletown with a fundraiser in support of Middlesex Hospital.
MIDDLETOWN, CT — Jersey Mike’s Subs is celebrating its grand opening in Middletown with a fundraiser in support of Middlesex Hospital.
The popular sub shop is opening at 808 Washington St. in Middletown on Nov. 18.
Franchise owner Kenneth Schanke will hold a grand opening and fundraiser from Wednesday, Nov. 18 to Sunday, Nov. 22 to support Middlesex Hospital. Customers with a special fundraising coupon can make a minimum $3 contribution to Middlesex Hospital in exchange for a regular sub. Customers must have a coupon to be eligible, according to officials.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Chamber of Commerce will take place at 9:45 a.m. on opening day.
"With opening our second location, we are thrilled to be a part of the Middletown community,” Schanke said. “Our team will consist of local high school, college, and community members who are ready to serve and provide you with ‘A Sub Above.’”

In consideration of the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, and in partnership with the CDC and public health authorities, Jersey Mike’s has temporarily closed the dining areas at its locations to help limit person-to-person contact.
“Guests can continue to place takeout orders in-store or for pickup through the website or through the Jersey Mike’s app,” officials wrote in a news release. “Additionally, delivery is available in most areas through the Jersey Mike’s app or through third-party delivery partners.
“The health and well-being of Jersey Mike’s guests and operators are its highest priorities, and locations continue to prepare, serve and package Jersey Mike’s subs with all the precautionary measures in place to protect its customers and its teams.”
The restaurant’s hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week.
