Man Charged In Shooting In Middletown: Police
A man has been arrested in connection with a recent shooting in Middletown, according to police.
MIDDLETOWN, CT — A man has been arrested in connection with a recent shooting in Middletown, according to police.
Antwan Rufus was taken into custody on Main Street on Wednesday after a detective saw him in the area of Green Street and Main Street, according to Lt. Brian Hubbs.
Rufus was arrested on a warrant in connection with the May 1 shooting on Williams Street in which a man was shot several times in the leg.

Rufus was charged with criminal attempt at first-degree assault, second-degree assault, unlawful discharge of a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm, first-degree reckless endangerment and commission of a Class A,B,C Felony with a firearm. He was held in lieu of a $500,000 bond.
Hubbs said detectives are still investigating the May 1 shooting along with a shooting that happened around 10:45 p.m. on Wednesday, April 28 on Maplewood Terrace.
