March's Nature Walk

Long Hill Estate Sunday March 21 @10AM

With COVID rates declining and many getting vaccinated, we will continue our nature walks. We require all participants wear masks at all times. We are also asking you to sign up ahead of time with me by responding to this email. The group size will be limited; if more people sign up than space, names will be pulled from a hat, based on those who have RSVPed by the end of Tuesday March 16th.

In the last two weeks if you have done any of the following, please do not join us:

  • Been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID
  • Had any of the known symptoms ofCOVID or felt unwell
  • Been out of state/country

We welcome those who are willing to meet these guidelines. The details of the hike are as follows:

On Sunday, March 21, 2021, at 10AM, I will lead a walk sponsored by Middletown Recreation Division, at Long Hill Estate, a 103-acre estate owned by the city, also known as Wadsworth Mansion.

Dress for the weather, wear hiking shoes, and bring a light snack and water. Children under age 16 must attend with an adult 18+. This is a mostly level loop walk through the park, with one steeper climb and will last about 1.5 hours. Well-behaved leashed dogs welcome.
