Middletown High Cancels Rest Of Fall Sports Season

Middletown canceled the rest of its fall sports season after recent coronavirus cases forced the school to operate remotely for two weeks.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Middletown High School has canceled the rest of its fall sports season, including the postseason, after coronavirus cases forced the school to temporarily switch to distance learning.

Superintendent of Schools Michael Conner notified families on Sunday that Middletown High would be operating remotely from Nov. 2 through Nov. 16 after a teacher and student tested positive for the coronavirus.

As a result of the school operating remotely for two weeks, Middletown Athletic Director Elisha DeJesus told families that the fall sports season “has come to an end” and the fall sports postseason has been canceled.
