Middletown Residents Receive COVID-19 Vaccine: Here's How Many
State health officials released data for the first time that shows how many residents in each town have been vaccinated for COVID-19.
MIDDLETOWN, CT — A total of 4,776 Middletown residents received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine as of Feb. 1, according to the state Department of Public Health.
There are 46,258 Middletown residents and 10.32 percent of them have received their first dose of the vaccine. Middletown has 3,172 residents over the age of 75 and 1,364 of them have received their first dose, or 43 percent, according to state health officials.
In nearby towns, Meriden has disseminated the vaccine to 7.86 percent of its population, Cromwell is at 12.93 percent, Middlefield is at 10.4 percent, Portland is at 11.02 percent, East Hampton is at 10.13 percent and Durham is at 11.93 percent.

Since the pandemic began in March, Middletown has reported 3,368 cases and 127 deaths.
