Middletown Schools Approve Calendar For 2021-22: What To Know

MIDDLETOWN, CT — The Middletown Board of Education this week approved the district’s academic calendar for the 2021-22 school year.

The first day of school for students will be Sept. 9 and the tentative last day of school is scheduled to be June 16.

Here are all the key dates approved by the school board:

First Student Day: September 9

Labor Day: September 6

Columbus Day: October 11

Election Day, November 2 (no school for students)

Veterans Day: November 11

Thanksgiving Recess: November 25 & 26

Holiday Recess: December 24, 2021 - January 2, 2022

New Year’s Day Observed: December 31, 2021

Martin Luther King Day: January 17, 2022

Presidents’ Day: February 21, 2022

Winter Recess: February 22 & 23, 2022

Good Friday: April 15, 2022

Spring Break: April 11 - 15, 2022

Memorial Day: May 30, 2022

Middletown High School Graduation Day Tentative – June 16, 2022

Last Student Day: June 16, 2022

All new teachers are scheduled to report on Sept. 1.

The Regular Professional Development Days All School Teachers (NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS) are scheduled for Sept. 3, Sept. 7, Sept. 8 and Nov. 2.
