Middletown, Xavier Swap Places In Latest Wrestling Poll

One Connecticut team surged up four spots from last week to crack the top five, while another made its season debut in the top 10.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — After a one-week aberration in which another school collected a first-place vote, it was back to normal for Danbury High School this week, garnering all 17 top nods in the most recent wrestling poll of coaches and media members.

Simsbury utilized victories over former No. 3 Southington and former No. 2 Bristol Eastern to leap four spots into second place, followed by Bristol Eastern, Trumbull and Fairfield Warde.

Middletown and Xavier swapped places from last week, with the Blue Dragons moving into seventh position and the Falcons dropping to eighth.
